Join us at Kande Horse for your gap year or extended break and Stay with us as part of the family. We are looking for intermediate to experienced riders who are looking to improve on their horsemanship skills. This is a hand’s on riding holiday where you will be working closely with our team and horses in a beautiful environment. We ride English style and you will be involved with the day to day care of the horses, Schooling of horses using natural horsemanship methods and joining our trails as a backup guide.
This is a perfect place to get work experience or just immersing yourself in yard life, while enjoying the magic of Lake Malawi
A TYPICAL DAY
A normal working day starts at 6.am where one of our grooms will feed the horses. You will spend your days helping with the grooming and attending to general medical care. Schooling horses will be a main priority where you will gain much experience in natural horsemanship methods. If we have client rides you can go out as a backup guide and enjoy the surroundings through forest and farmland and give basic tuition along the way.
SHORT OR LONG STAY
If you want to take the opportunity to improve your riding skills, discover the culture of Malawi and make a difference in helping with the care of our horses, then we offer short stay placements of 7 days to longer periods of 3 months.
